What is a high density storage system?
High Density Storage Systems are specialized shelving-based storage systems
designed to efficiently maximize usable storage in a specific amount of floor
space.
} This is accomplished by grouping a series of mobile and stationary shelving units in very close proximity to each other.
} There is one stationary shelving unit on each end of the system (including one in the middle for longer units) and usually several mobile shelving units in the middle, separated only by a moveable aisle.
} The mobile units are moved back and forth via an overhead track system and can be placed next to each other when not in use.
The benefit is the elimination of excess aisle space between shelving units, thereby increasing storage capacity up to 35% .
