Use wall mounted wire shelving to take advantage of all your overhead space. When floor space is at a premium wall mounted shelves are exactly what you need. In addition to our chrome wall mount kits, we recently expanded our product line to include both black wall mount and freezer wall mounted shelving. Where to put the wall mounted shelves is limited only by your imagination. Popular applications are for over work benches, waiting rooms, garages and mudrooms. The freezer finish is popular in commercial kitchens and restaurants. Wall mounted wire shelving kits come in over 40 different sizes. Why wire wall shelves as opposed to other shelves? The answer is simple. Wire shelves provide unmatched ventilation and stay cleaner than other shelving. Of course our shelving is NSF certified for professionals including food service and healthcare.
If your storage needs change often or you anticipate them changing then we recommend the adjustable wall mount shelving kits . These shelf kits come with everything you need to assemble an adjustable wall mount shelving unit. Adjustable kits give you the ability to adjust and readjust shelf heights (not too many other shelving systems that can make that claim). We have prepackaged kits of 2, 3, 4, and 5 tier units. They are available in 5 different depths. Lengths start at 18″ and go up every 6″ to 72′ width. You can adjust every 1″. Of course you can also add an additional tier in the future.
Be sure to use the correct hardware when mounting. We do not supply the hardware. Below is a list of pointers we put in one of our blog posts over a year ago.
- Drill directly into a stud with the proper length wood screws. Screws that are too short may not reach the stud or get deep enough into the stud to provide maximum support
- Securely anchor the shelf into any other type of wall. There are different types of anchors and screws for concrete or brick walls. Your local hardware store should be able to supply you with what is needed. To get the most weight capacity out of your wall shelving, get sturdy or reputable anchors. This will help you get the maximum weight capacity out of your unit.
- To get the maximum weight load from these shelves, spread the stock even across the entire shelf. Simply stated you should have an “evenly distributed load” . Keep the heavier stock closer to the wall mounts
*Please note chrome shelving is meant for dry storage. If you plan on using wall mount shelving in wet environments we recommend the freezer of black epoxy wall mount shelf kits.
